THE AGE OF INTOLERANCE

THE AGE OF INTOLERANCE

It is true as they say a country is known by the people it has….so what will our nation be known as? The fact that all the newspapers and channels open with the same type of stories showcasing different methods of persecution, violence, anarchy and literally chaos.
Open up any paper and the stories that jump out are all painted in one colour….red; with smudges of blackish blue bruised colors. It is as if the country is screaming to be freed. It is as if the phantom bruises keep popping out.

For a country which has a huge history, it seems as if like the old Bhishma of yore, it is slowly rotting away, having been pierced with oh so many arrows.
Crime against women, kids, elderly, diseased have in fact risen so much that they tend to overshadow our humanity.

It is true as they say that the age of Kali is upon us yet the only thing which is helping us strive and forcing us to battle on is the realization that this too will pass….but my friends , this needs more than passing. It needs our heart felt aggression towards violence against any form-verbal, physical, social and mental. This is our age; sordid but ours’ … for we are a part of this violent age and thus it is for us to battle it headfirst.

  1. True....if we don't stand up today, we never will and then it will be too late.
